[NEWS] Tania Johannisson, Head of Game Integrity & Risk at leading Live Casino provider Evolution Gaming, has been selected to speak at the World Game Protection Conference, Las Vegas, 22-24 February 2016.

The event, billed as “the biggest casino surveillance event of the year” brings together prominent Casino and iGaming industry figures in a three-day expo and speaker programme.

Johannisson’s session, at 14:00 on Day 2 (‘Big Picture Day’), Tuesday 23 February 2016, is entitled, ‘What Online Live Dealer Casinos Can Teach Us About Game Protection’. This session will explore key areas including high risk and targeted areas in an online Live Casino environment as well as automated surveillance for detecting abnormal betting strategies that may indicate cheating, collusion and advantage play, amongst other things.

According to Johannisson, “Approaching Game Protection from an online Live Casino angle will, I believe, provide unique insights and a perspective perhaps not explored in previous conferences. Every player we serve – whether wholly genuine or potentially fraudulent – interacts with our system via some kind of computing device, so it’s critical that our systems are fully monitored and protected 24/7 by the best surveillance practices and software available. Also, the sheer number of concurrent players playing at any given time on our 130-plus tables makes it even more critical that we have the highest levels of automated cyber security in place in order to stay more than one step ahead of the cyber criminal.”
