"We've had a great response to the ER1 at our Sally Ride Science Festivals. The kids are able to quickly understand the concepts of robotics and what it takes to program a robot to do something for them. The ER1 is a great learning tool for science teachers."

Based on customer demand, Evolution Robotics has produced a limited supply
of developer edition ER1s (called the ER1-D), which include an upgraded
version of the RCM control module (designated as the RCM-D).
|
|
These units
are intended primarily for professional developers and universities.
The hardware is similar to the original ER1 personal robot kits, but have
upgraded electronics designed for heavier use. The ER1-D kits use the same
core X-beam modules, but some of the connectors have been modified for
manufacturing purposes.
The RCM-D is available for purchase by itself, and can be used to replace
the original RCM on existing ER1 kits.
Please contact us at our US or Asia offices for more information
on pricing and ordering details for your region.
Developers and universities wishing to create applications for the ER1-D
are encouraged to use the ERSP 3.1 SDK – which is sold separately
and available for either Linux or Windows platforms. A copy of the original
ER1 software is included in the new kits as a demo/evaluation tool, but is
no longer actively supported.
