The Evolution Robotics Software Platform (ERSP®) is a professional grade architecture for vision and robotics and a set of core functionality modules used by some of the most influential roboticists and consumer electronics companies in the world. ERSP-NC 3.0 provides:
A Comprehensive Platform
ERSP provides a comprehensive development platform with four primary areas of functionality: vision, navigation, interaction and architecture.
Intuitive Code Structure
Why use ERSP instead of building from scratch? ERSP has a fully scalable architecture. It contains thousands of API functions and hundreds of pages of documentation along with numerous sample code examples that students or researchers can use.
Compelling Technology for Advanced Students
Working with ERSP allows students to develop their own applications. The abundance of developer tools and applications that aid students in the development process allows them to move on to higher-level programs quickly and not get stuck creating lower-level code.
Hardware Independence
ERSP-NC 3.0 is hardware-independent. It can be easily configured to be used with a variety of robots (including the ER1 and Scorpion robots). ERSP was developed from the ground up to support many different types of robots and comes with an easy XML-based configuration file for using ERSP with custom robots. ERSP is available on both Linux and Windows.
Application Development Tools
Some of the GUI-based tools to assist the development process include a Vision Tool for demonstrating and testing object recognition, a navigation tool for demonstrating vSLAM and other navigation features and a behavior composition tool for easy behavior development.
Non-Commercial Use Classification
ERSP-NC 3.0 is the non-commercial use version of our corporate product, ERSP 3.0. It has all the features of the corporate version but is available at deep discounts to educational institutions. Single and multi-use licenses, as well as custom packages are available. Contact us at education@evolution.com or 866-762-6463 for details.
